This was our first year at Pinecove campground and is now our home away from home. We had such a great experience this first season and can’t wait till next years camping season. Our experience at Pinecove has been a positive one and we have recommended the park to many friends. Every weekend has added a new chapter of memories for our family and we are looking forward to many more seasons of memories at Pinecove.
Love love love love this campground!!!! Can’t speak about owners (never met them) but the manager & his wife are amazing!!! Looking forward to many great years
Wonderful community feeling camp ground. Lots of fun activities for all ages. Can't wait for our 2024 season !
Listening to the ones who are writing good reviews are the managers friends. I can tell you 50 + campers have moved out of pinecove campground due to manager and nonexistent owners knowing nothing how to run a campground. We had 107 sites and now 50+ have left and many more soon. Rules are rules, but changing rules weekly is so wrong. No activities unless the campers did them. Two bands (who was family of the so called activities director) two food trucks one who came with burnt food.
This was a fantastic place but since the new owners took over it has gone downhill. To be clear nothing has really changed as far as the campground itself but as others have said the new owners and manager have driven away so many campers the place looks deserted.
I had confirmed with Paul the manager on August 31st that I had a spot to camp for the winter. I am a contract employee and live out of my camper year round. On October 13th, 18 days before the campground closed to regular business for the season I was send a text telling I did not in fact have a reservation for the winter and that I was effectively homeless. I had to scramble to find a winter site close enough to my job which was not easy given I only had about 2 weeks notice.
Today I received a notice taped to my door not only reminding me that they weren't honoring my winter reservation but also informing me that I was not allowed back next season.
There is no reason given for this. I have not had any altercations with management or other campers. I have not received any notices of complaints. I have been prompt with all my payments.
I am not the first to be asked not to return. If they decide they don't want you here for whatever the reason, you'd better be ready to leave at a moments notice. I was lucky I got 18 days others have been asked to leave with less than 1 weeks notice simply for disagreeing with the owners.
The campers are friendly the campground is nice the management and owners have ruined such a beautiful place.
This has long term camping for rv/travel trailers. 30 amp hookup and water. Dump station but the owner also comes around once a week was a beautiful campground was there for their Halloween trick or treat fun. The owner is very nice and tries to keep everything neat and clean. They also have restrooms with paid showers.
This is our first year at the campground and we absolutely love it! The grounds are clean and well maintained. There are activities planned each weekend if you desire to
participate or just soak up a restful retreat at your campsite! Lord willing, we will be looking forward to enjoying many years at our little home away from home at Pine Cove Campground!
Please take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. They are very one sided and written by people who cannot and will not accept change. While the campground was sold at the end of last year, it is still a great place to be. The grounds are well kept, the pool is very nice and there are great activities (we just had our annual Halloween Weekend! It was a blast!) The campsites are lovely. With the sale came changes that some people could not adapt to. Some have gone out of their way to make things difficult. They are source of the toxic environment and they have kicked out due to their behavior or left of their own volition. It is really a pleasant place to be! We look forward to spending every weekend here. There have been hiccups along the way just as there were when the previous owners first bought the campground. It always takes a year or two for any business to iron things out, especially in the wake of long time owners. The complaints are coming from entitled people who did not want any changes and were under the misguided notion, that nothing would change. Business and life do not work that way. Come check us out and see for yourself what Pine Cove has to offer. We have been here 5 years and don't plan on leaving anytime soon., We love it! It is our happy place.
With re: to activities, in addition to the big Halloween weekend, we’ve had a couple of bands and food trucks, carry in dinners (both all camper sponsored and where the campground provided the meat), weekly Bingo, trivia nights, DJs and Karaoke, as well as others like a wreath making class. While true that some were run by other campers, i.e. bingo and Trivia, the bands, food trucks and carry in dinners were sponsored by the campground. The complainers chose not to participate in those activities. While the former owners would have had this season booked before opening, the new owners were behind the 8 ball and our new activities director worked hard to find entertainment that had availability. Several campers stepped up and offered to run bingo, trivia, etc. Next year’s activities are shaping up to be expanded! Many fun things are planned. Like I said before, it takes a year or two to get the new ball rolling. If you are looking for a family friendly campground, check out Pine Cove!
